William is the Head of APAC for Liberty GTS. William joined Liberty (where he originally worked for Liberty’s subsidiary Ironshore as the Managing Director of Australia) from Allen & Overy in early 2013 to establish the Australian office and the Mergers & Acquisitions and Tax offering.
Prior to joining Liberty GTS, William was a private equity lawyer specialising for more than 10 years in tax structuring. William has worked at Weil Gotshal and Manges, Allen & Overy and at PricewaterhouseCoopers. William has a deep understanding of private equity transactions, tax structuring and insurance having advised numerous private equity houses while based in London, Australia and New Zealand.
William has a B’Com & LLB from the University of Canterbury and a Master of Laws (Tax & Commercial) from the University of Sydney.
Nicholas is a mergers and acquisitions underwriter with the Liberty GTS Australia team. Nick focuses on transactions across the Asia-Pacific region as part of a team of underwriters operating out of Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Nick is a qualified solicitor (admitted in New South Wales, Australia) with 5 years’ experience, prior to joining Liberty GTS, in corporate law, working on private M&A and private equity transactions while at King & Wood Mallesons. Nick holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (Politics) from Macquarie University.
Heidi is an underwriter at Liberty GTS in Singapore, focusing on M&A insurance in the Asia Pacific region.
Heidi was admitted to the Singapore Bar, after which she joined Baker McKenzie. As an associate in the Corporate & Securities team, she was involved in a broad range of corporate and commercial work, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, Heidi was part of HSBC Global Markets in the management associate program and co-founded a travel start-up funded by Enterprise Singapore (formerly SPRING).
Heidi holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Melbourne, and has passed all three levels of the CFA Program.
Claims and Technology, Strategy and Change Management
Vanessa manages the Claims and Technology Divisions for the Asia Pacific Region
Vanessa has been handling claims since 1995 and has managed a range of claims including Professional Indemnity, Directors’ & Officers’ Liability, Bankers’ Blanket Bond, Compulsory Third Party, Public and Products Liability, Property, Marine, Engineering and Crisis Management claims.
She joined Liberty in 2001 and since that time has held a number of positions within the company, including Vice President Claims and Legal Counsel for Liberty’s Asia Pacific operations. Since joining Liberty she has also participated in policy wording development on a cross lines basis.
In 2012 Vanessa was appointed Senior Vice President Claims and Technology for the Asia Pacific Region.
Prior to joining Liberty Vanessa worked at a number of Australian insurers. This gave Vanessa exposure to a wide range of products, wordings and claims sizes. Vanessa has handled claims in jurisdictions throughout Australia and Asia.

EVP & Senior Vice President - Casualty, Asia Pacific and Chief Underwriting Officer - Global Casualty
Noel manages the Liberty Casualty Division in the Asia Pacific, and has global product oversight of Casualty.
Noel has over 35 years of Casualty insurance experience, is a member of Liberty’s regional executive management team, and is Chief Underwriting Officer, Global Casualty.
Noel has helped position Liberty as a leading market in the Asia Pacific region, working with international and regional brokers to deliver solutions for a wide range of diverse clients.
Noel is a sought after industry commentator, regularly speaking on Casualty and other insurance issues to industry bodies and professional associations.
Responsible for the leadership of the Human Resources Division across Asia Pacific.
Damien leads all areas of Liberty’s Human Resources activities including recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, communication and culture initiatives as well as developing, implementing and coordinating HR policies and programs that support the business strategy.
Damien has a Bachelor of Commerce and over 20 years' experience in the human resources profession across a number of industries including insurance, pharmaceuticals, accountancy, law, finance and the not for profit sector.
Working with a geographically dispersed team, Steve is responsible for the management of the Civil Construction product line globally.
Steve joined Liberty in July 2008 with a mandate to formulate and execute a strategy for the global roll-out of Civil Construction as a new product line within Liberty. Prior to joining Liberty, Steve spent just under 20 years at Swiss Reinsurance, finishing there as Head of Engineering, Asia. During his time at Swiss Re, he was primarily involved in the insurance of major construction projects worldwide working in South African, London, Zurich and Australian markets. Before his time in reinsurance, Steve spent 10 years in a variety of site-related construction activities including bridge, mining and structural erection projects.
Steve comes from a Civil Engineering background, has a Bachelor of Commerce and is an Associate of the Insurance Institute and a Fellow of the Risk Management Institute of South Africa.
As the Asia Operations Leader Matthew leads our team of 100 professionals located across Asia.
Matthew is responsible for the Asian operations of Liberty International Underwriters.
Based in Singapore, Matthew leads the Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and China teams which write around 5000 policies per year across the Asia region.
Matthew has worked with Liberty since 2003, joining as a Casualty underwriter in the Melbourne office before moving on to manage the North Asia Casualty portfolio from Hong Kong, and then leading the Casualty operations across Asia.
Senior Vice President, Professional & Financial Risks - Asia Pacific
Brett is responsible for the underwriting and management of the Energy, Property, Construction and Terrorism products across Asia Pacific.
Brett started his insurance career in 1997 with an international reinsurer, before moving into a role as a direct insurance broker where he worked on some of Australia's largest energy and mining companies at that time.
He joined Liberty in 2002 and since then has worked in our Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore offices. His principal experience resides in the oil and gas industry as well as the power generation segment, where he has had major involvement in writing policies for a large number of the regions refining, petrochemical and LNG producers, as well as writing many of Asia Pacific's major power producers over many years.
Brett has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of New England.
Adrian is a Risk Engineer supporting our Casualty team. He conducts site visits and desk reviews, helping our underwriters to correctly evaluate potential exposures and understand each risk. Adrian's responsibilities also include post loss evaluations which can help prevent losses reoccurring.
Adrian comes to Liberty with over 10 years risk engineering experience. He started his career in 2005 working for Insight Adjusters & Surveyors before becoming manager at AJAX Adjusters & Surveyors from 2011 - 2013, Adrian started at Crawford & Company, an international claims solutions provider, before joining Liberty in 2015.
Adrian holds a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, he is an Associate of the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters and a Senior Associate of ANZIIF.
Senior Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer, Construction
Alan leads and manages Liberty's Construction and Power Generation portfolios across the Asia Pacific region.
Alan has more than 40 years of insurance industry experience. Prior to joining Liberty in Sydney in 1999, he held numerous underwriting and management positions with major British and American insurance companies. The last 25 years of Alan's career have seen him focus exclusively on Energy and Construction business in the Asia Pacific region, and during this period he has cultivated and sustained an extensive range of relationships with key producers, ceding companies, clients and service providers throughout the region.
Alex is based in Liberty's Singapore office with a focus on marine risk management in the Asia Pacific.
A Master Mariner with twelve years at sea, Alex spent a number of years as a Marine Surveyor and Consultant acting for Underwriters, Admiralty Lawyers and P & I clubs investigating incidents concerning bulk oil and chemical cargoes, vessel and collision damage as well as vessel salvage and wreck removal operations.
With extensive experience across all aspects of marine transportation, Alex has conducted numerous JH143 Risk Assessment Warranty Surveys for underwriters concerned with Asia Pacific shipyards.
He is a Member of the Nautical Institute who has also worked on major onshore and offshore construction projects.
Principal Officer, Malaysia and Assistant Vice President, Energy and Construction
Andrew is the Principal Officer for the Malaysia branch of Liberty. He is also Assistant Vice President of Energy and Construction and holds an underwriting role in the Kuala Lumpur office. This includes assisting all underwriting teams based in Singapore to develop business across all Liberty specialty lines.
Andrew joined Liberty in 2008 when he opened the Liberty Malaysia branch office and has over 17 years experience in the Malaysian insurance market. His career started with a local Malaysian insurance company. Following this he worked as a broker and then moved back to another local insurance company. He has a long history dealing with brokers in Malaysia and continues to build on these relationships as he expands the Liberty Malaysian business.
Andrew was recipient of the prestigious Liberty Mutual Chairman’s Award in 2009. Andrew holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Nottingham University in the United Kingdom and a Degree in Business from Curtin University in Western Australia. He is an Associate member of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and an Associate member of Malaysia Insurance Institute (AMII).
Angelo is the head of Casualty in Asia. Based in Singapore, he leads our liability teams in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and China.
Angelo joined Liberty in 2009 in Melbourne as the head of the Casualty Risk Engineering across Asia Pacific, before relocating to Perth where he added the role of Branch Manager of Western Australia to his responsibilities. Angelo has dealt with clients across construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, chemical plants, rail transport and infrastructure.
He holds Civil Engineering qualifications from RMIT, and a Graduate Diploma in Business Management.
Vice President Claims - Casualty, Workers Compensation and Crisis Management, Asia Pacific
Angus oversees the Casualty, Workers Compensation and Crisis Management claims team across the Asia Pacific Region working closely with underwriters, claims professionals and risk engineers to ensure optimum outcomes.
Angus has over 25 years of commercial experience including 18 years leading a niche casualty claims management, adjusting and investigation business. Most recently Angus was General Manager of a large Australian loss adjusting business overseeing all professional claims staff across multi lines. Angus is highly regarded for his drive, attention to detail and client focussed approach.
His qualifications include Bachelor of Business, Executive Certificate in Insurance, ANZIIF (Fellow), CIP, FAIM.
Vice President, Professional & Financial Risks - Asia
Ann is the Asia head for all products within the Professional & Financial Risks portfolio, including — but not limited to — Professional Indemnity (PI) (such as Commercial, Construction, Construction Project and Financial Institutions PI), Investment Manager’s insurance, Umbrella Defence Costs, Information Technology Liability, Cyber, Directors' & Officers' Liability and Side A insurance.
Ann has worked in the Professional & Financial Risks sector since 2001 and has been with Liberty since 2005. She has predominantly worked in the Australian region with some exposure to the Asian regions. In addition to her focus on underwriting, prior to her appointment to the current role, she managed one of the largest Professional & Financial Risks portfolios and underwriting teams in Australia.
Ann has a Bachelor of Commerce in finance, risk and insurance and she maintains a long-standing interest in workplace mentoring and training.
Chris manages the Liberty Financial Risk Solutions business in the Asia Pacific region.
Chris joined Liberty in June 2016 to head up Country and Credit Risk Management for the Financial Risk Solutions business in London. In January 2018 he was promoted to Manager, Financial Risk Solutions for the Asia Pacific region. Based in Singapore, his role involves the development of the political risk, contract frustration and structured trade credit underwriting for the region.
Prior to joining Liberty, Chris began his financial services career in Australia. He has worked for a number of major banks and investment firms in London, Hong Kong and New York.
Chris is a CFA charterholder, Certified Practicing Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Degree.
As part of the Singapore Casualty team, Daphne focuses her underwriting capabilities within the Korea, Singapore and Thailand markets.
Daphne began her insurance career with a major Korean reinsurer in 2011. Drawing on her proficiency in Korean, she joined Liberty in June 2015 to help grow our Korean book of business. Daphne is also responsible for developing our Singapore retail portfolio.
Dipam is the Head of War and Terrorism and Senior Underwriter for War and Terrorism in the Asia Pacific region.
Dipam joined Liberty in 2015 with over 13 years' insurance experience. Prior to Liberty, Dipam worked in London as a broker for two different international broking houses, specialising in the War and Terrorism product.
Eric is a Senior Underwriter in the Energy Property Construction team based in Singapore, responsible for underwriting power and construction direct and reinsurance risks across Asia. Eric works closely with our Risk Engineers to develop bespoke risk transfer solutions for brokers and their clients.
Eric has worked in the insurance industry for 14 years. Prior to joining Liberty in 2014, Eric was Regional Property Underwriting Manager at AXA Corporate Solutions, managing the Property and Power Portfolio. Eric also has seven years of experience as a wholesale regional broker.
Guy is Liberty’s global Power-Generation Practice Leader, and heads Liberty Australia’s team of EPC Engineers.
Based in Sydney, he works across the Asia-Pacific region conducting site surveys and assessing risk in oil and gas production; refining; pipelines; gas liquefaction; power generation; and construction projects. His key priorities are in providing global and regional direction with technical support to Liberty’s underwriters, fellow engineers and claims staff, as well as providing risk control expertise to brokers and clients.
Guy holds a PhD in boiling heat transfer mechanisms. He has worked internationally in fields as diverse as deep-level mining, finite-element modelling, consulting, design, lecturing, and in the development of cryogenic satellite test facilities.
He gained specialist expertise in forensic engineering investigations while living in the UK, before joining Liberty in 1999.
A Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia, Guy is also a Chartered Engineer (UK), a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK), and a Chartered Professional Engineer (Australia), including registration under Queensland legislation.
As a member of the Liberty Marine risk engineering team, Hanghei is involved in risk assessment of the full suite of our marine risks, including Commercial Hull, Ship Builder’s, Marine Liabilities and Exploration & Production, with a special emphasis on Project Cargo risks, across Asia Pacific and Europe.
Hanghei joined Liberty Singapore at the beginning of 2015 with more than a decade of experience working as a Heavy Lift and Transport engineer in the UK and Asia. His experience includes the conceptual planning and implementation of transport and heavy crane lifts for major projects globally, HAZCON risk assessment studies, method statements, detailed lifting and transport studies, heavy rigging equipment inspections and the technical review of subcontract tenders, as well as practical, on-site experience.
Hanghei holds a HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
Senior Risk Engineer, Energy Property Construction
Imelda is a Risk Engineer supporting Singapore's Energy Property Construction Division.
Before joining Liberty, Imelda worked for FM Global in Malaysia and Singapore providing risk engineering/loss prevention consultancy services for Asian clients across industries including pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, chemicals, electronics and mechanical equipment manufacturing.
Imelda is a Chemical Engineer.
Senior Risk Engineer, Energy Property Construction
As Risk Engineer within Liberty’s Energy and Construction Division, Imran works with Liberty staff in Singapore, providing technical support for underwriting and claims for first party lines of businesses across Asia.
Part of this involves site surveys of commercial and industrial properties, as well as construction projects. The properties or projects can involve office buildings, hotels, as well as various kinds of manufacturing facilities within Asia.
Prior to joining Liberty, Imran spent 10 years as a risk engineer in FM Global, and 5 years in the construction industry in Singapore.
Senior Claims Specialist, Crisis Management & Energy Property Construction
James manages larger Commercial and Corporate Property claims across a wide range of industries, and also claims resulting from Liberty’s Product Recall and Contaminated Products Insurance Policies.
James has a claims broking and claims examining background. He was initially a claims broker in the London insurance market, working for 2 major international broking houses, liaising with insurers in the Reinsurance, Casualty and First Party space.
He relocated to Sydney in 2001 as a Senior Reinsurance Claims Officer for a major reinsurer.
In 2008, James moved to First Party Property, examining Commercial, Strata and Householders claims with major insurers in the Australian Market, before joining Liberty in 2012.
He has been engaged in managing Energy Property Construction claims for 4 years, and Crisis Management Claims for over 2 years, within Liberty.
James has a Bachelor of Arts (honours) degree in Business Studies from the University of Greenwich, London, and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations, from the University of New South Wales.

Business Operations Supervisor supporting Asia offices (Singapore and Malaysia)
Jean is responsible for the overall administrative functions of the Energy Property and Construction teams in Asia. Jean joined Liberty in 2009 from a commercial broker. She spent three years as an Underwriting Assistant before progressing into her current role.
Jonathan manages the Surety operations for Liberty across the Asia Pacific region.
Jonathan has more than a decade of experience in the Surety business, the first seven years of which were gained in various underwriting roles for Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe Ltd. while he was based in the UK. He relocated to Australia in early 2014 to join the Liberty Sydney team as National Surety Manager (Australia). Jonathan was appointed Regional Surety Manager (Asia Pacific) in March 2016.
Jonathan holds a BA in Business Economics (1st class) and is an Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding. He has been a Director of the Australian Surety Association since November 2014.
Jon manages and is responsible for all Recovery claims for each line of business for the Asia Pacific region.
Jon is a qualified lawyer who has practiced in New South Wales and Victoria and has over 20 years of insurance experience. He has advised on and handled many large and complex claims across numerous lines of business including Financial lines, Property, Casualty, Accident & Health, Crisis and Marine.
He joined Liberty in 2017 to establish a dedicated Recoveries Unit.
Prior to joining Liberty he worked for a number of international and Australian insurers and underwriters as a Claims Recovery specialist, General Counsel and Claims Manager. He has drafted policy wordings, advised on compliance issues and managed claims in all jurisdictions of Australia, New Zealand, Asia and various other parts of the world.
Joyce is responsible for growing the Liberty Crisis Management portfolio in Asia. Her areas of focus include Product Recall, Product Contamination and Kidnap and Ransom insurance.
Joyce has over 18 years' underwriting experience in the insurance industry.
Joyce joined Liberty in 2006 and was initially responsible for the management, development and underwriting of Casualty business in North Asia before joining the Liberty Crisis Management team in May 2017.
Joyce hold a Higher Diploma of Insurance Studies (Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education), a BA (Hons) in Business and Marketing (University of Portsmouth, UK) and she is a Senior Associate of ANZIIF.
Kate works in the Financial Risk Solutions team, underwriting Credit and Political Risk in Asia Pacific.
Kate began her career on the Graduate Scheme at a Lloyd's of London Syndicate. She has over four years' experience underwriting Credit and Political Risk and has been working in Singapore since January 2017.
Kate is ACII qualified. She has a BA (Hons) from Durham University and an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Senior Underwriter, Professional & Financial Risks
Lauren is a Senior Underwriter for Liberty’s Professional & Financial Risks Portfolio, specialising in Construction and Non-Construction Project PI and Commercial Annual PI for South Asia.
Lauren has over 10 years’ experience working in Hong Kong across all classes of Financial Lines insurance. In 2010 she moved to Singapore to become Financial Lines manager for a leading insurance company.
In 2011, Lauren joined Liberty bringing with her invaluable experience in both the North and South Asian market.
Lauren is an affiliate member of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Finance (ANZIIF) and is a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter with the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.
Senior Underwriter, Marine and Exploration & Production
Based in Singapore, Lewis underwrites marine hull, builder's risk and upstream energy.
Lewis has been with Liberty right from the start of his career. Joining our Singapore team as a management associate fresh out of university, Lewis quickly found a passion for marine and has been with the team since 2010. Over this time Lewis has developed his underwriting expertise for operational and construction risks in Asia cutting across both the Marine and Upstream Energy segments.
Lewis is a qualified associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and holds a bachelor (second class upper) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Li Sa is based in Singapore and handles Third Party Liability claims in Asia.
With over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, Li Sa has a strong background in liability claims. Prior to joining Liberty, Li Sa specialised in personal injury claims, litigation management and dispute resolution.
Li Sa holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in General Insurance.
Claims Manager, Workers' Compensation and Third Party
Lindy is based in Singapore and is responsible for Singapore Worker's Compensation and Third Party claims (including Financial lines) for South Asia.
Lindy has more than fifteen years of claims experience within the insurance industry, and has been handling Worker's Compensation and Third Party claims since 2006. Prior to joining Liberty in 2008, Lindy was responsible for overseeing a South East Asia Financial Lines Claims team and prior to that she worked with the Commisioner in the Ministry of Manpower.
Lindy holds an Advanced Diploma in General Insurance and Risk Management.
Senior Underwriter, Professional & Financial Risks
Louise is a Senior Underwriter for Liberty's Professional & Financial Risks portfolio, focusing on Professional Indemnity in South Asia.
Louise has over 8 years' experience in the insurarnce industry. Prior to joining Liberty in 2012, Louise gained over 3 years' broking experience with a large international brokerage firm in Malaysia, prior to moving to Singapore and transitioning into underwriting Financial Lines.
Louise holds a Bachelor of Business (Law) from Monash University.
Commercial D&O and Financial Institutions Manager, Asia
Michael leads the Liberty Asia Pacific Crisis Management team from his base in the Liberty Sydney office.
Michael began his career in insurance while still at university, working part-time in administration for a general insurance company. After graduating in 1996 with a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, he worked for five years, first in motor and householders’ insurance and then in contingency insurance, before moving into crisis management insurance with a leading global insurance company.
Michael joined Liberty in 2009 with eight years’ experience in crisis management insurance.
Michelle is responsible for managing the Liberty Surety portfolio across Asia.
Michelle worked as an underwriter specialising in Trade Credit and Surety for a major international insurance company before joining Liberty in March 2017. She has previously worked in commercial finance for a multinational energy company and in marketing and investor relations for a boutique Asian hedge fund.
Michelle holds a Masters in Finance from Grenoble École de Management, and a BBA (Hons) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Puspa is based in Singapore and is responsible for all Liberty Marine claims throughout Asia.
Puspa joined Liberty in 2007. She has been handling marine claims since 1994.
Puspa started her career as a lawyer working in the UK and Singapore, focusing on the marine market. She then joined a well known marine loss adjusters company where she was responsible for managing claims and recoveries. She subsequently joined the managers of the world’s largest P&I Club handling all aspects of marine claims for shipowners, logistic and terminal operators, dealing with charter party disputes, advising on cover issues and conducting seminars for the Club members.
Puspa spent a year working as a legal officer to the United Nations World Food Programme in Rome, Italy.
She qualified with a Masters in Law at King’s College, London specialising in marine subjects. She has also been called to the English and Singapore Bar.
Responsible for Portfolio Management and New Business Development (Asia Pacific) and for the analysis and pricing of risk in General Cargo, Project Cargo, Marine and General Liability and Hull (Ship Builders Risks) sectors.
Robert began his career in the marine insurance industry in 1997. Since then, he has gained experience across both claims and underwriting. His experience extends to numerous types of infrastructure projects requiring marine cargo and DSU coverage.
Rob holds a Diploma in General Insurance through ANZIIF.
Vice President, Professional & Financial Risks, Surety & Global Financial Risks Claims - Asia Pacific
Robert manages the Professional & Financial Risks and Surety Divisions' team of Claims Specialists across the Asia Pacific Region and is responsible for the provision of strategic, technical and market facing claims leadership, support and co-ordination.
Robert joined Liberty in 2015 with more than 16 years of experience in Australia and the United Kingdom in the insurance industry, both in senior positions within other insurance companies and as a lawyer in private practice. Robert has managed and defended claims against engineers, architects, construction professionals involved in both small and large scale construction and infrastructure projects, directors and officers, financial institutions, financial services companies and professionals in other sectors.
Robert is a qualified lawyer who has practiced in New South Wales and Queensland.
Sang Jin is the Casualty Underwriter & Business Development Manager for the Korean market and provides underwriting for CGL, Product Liability and Construction and TPL including Offshore Construction Liability.
Sang Jin has an MSc. in Insurance and Risk Management from City University in London and nearly 15 years insurance/reinsurance experience across underwriting and broking.

Manages Liberty's Workers Compensation portfolio in Asia.
Tom has over 14 years in the insurance industry. He started his career as a broker for a large international brokerage in Sydney, Australia.
In 2003 he joined Liberty where Tom was a General & Products Liability underwriter in our Sydney branch until he transferred to our Kuala Lumpur office where he was responsible for our Malaysian Casualty portfolio. In 2015, Tom was promoted to Workers Compensation Manager where he currently works in our Singapore office.
Tom holds a Master of Business in Financial Services from University of Technology and is an ANZIIF Fellow.
Vanessa underwrites Property Damage and Business Interruption insurance for the Onshore/Downstream Energy segment. She underwrites the Asia portfolio from her base in the Liberty Singapore office.
Vanessa began her insurance career in 2011 when she joined Liberty Singapore's Energy Property Construction team as an underwriting assistant. Prior to that she was with an accounting firm and was involved in the audit of insurance and reinsurance companies.
Vanessa's primary experience resides in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry spanning a wide range of operational risks in Asia, from terminals and pipelines to refineries, petrochemical and gas plants.
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Singapore Management University.
Chow joined Liberty in 2003 and heads up the Risk Engineering Division responsible for all risk management activities in Asia, supporting underwriting and claims as part of the Energy, Property & Construction Division.
Chow has done extensive risk management work in Asia, including site surveys, in-house risk assessment and risk engineering/loss prevention consultancy, across industries ranging from oil, gas and petrochemicals to manufacturing, logistics, and IT.
A graduate chemical engineer, Chow has 10 years experience in risk engineering for the insurance industry.
Chow’s non-insurance experience includes 7 years in the petrochemical industry in Singapore working on process engineering, operations, Greenfield project turnover and start-up.
